You Ain't Tough, You're Just Mean

You Ain't Tough, You're Just Mean is a single by JD Steel, released on 3 August 2026 and running 5 minutes 3 seconds, with an official upload on the act's YouTube channel that day. The description says the song is aimed at anger, intimidation and cruelty that get passed off as toughness, and argues that real strength means hearing hard truths, owning mistakes and changing before the people you love leave; past pain may explain the damage but does not excuse it. Deezer marks the release with its AI-generated content label, saying it includes tracks detected as made with the use of AI. It came out through a DistroKid imprint rather than a label.
