Willylancien

Willylancien is a faceless French-language rap act that surfaced on TikTok, Instagram and the streaming services in spring 2026, pictured in a rabbit balaclava, with no face shown, no interviews and almost nothing in its release credits. French and Belgian coverage treats it as an AI rapper. RTBF put a 30-second extract of its breakout track Magique through five detection tools, four of which judged it at least partly AI-generated and two of which pointed to Suno, and Deezer, which BFMTV says confirmed the track uses generative AI, labels nearly all of its releases as AI-generated content. The act disputes this: on déjà-vu it raps that the coming Willytour will show who the AI really is.

Nobody has been confirmed as the person behind it. Press reports name the Parisian rapper Lil Zamm, who told RTBF he is not behind the project, and the producer Le Motif, who has not responded but has praised the music and defended AI in music-making. Magique reached number one in Deezer's trending chart and Spotify's France top 10, and in April 2026 Skyrock added it to its playlists, which Les Inrocks called the first AI 'artist' on a major national radio station. The 2026 releases include the EPs demain c'est vide (April) and tout le monde déteste willy (May), a run of singles, Cogite with Soolking (July) and the album triste quand même (30 September).

On social media, Willylancien's Instagram account (verified, bio "triste quand même. 8 tracks. disponible partout.") had 74,064 followers on 15 October 2026, following only 2 accounts, and its YouTube channel, which calls itself the only official channel of Willylancien and links to the act's Instagram and TikTok, had about 120,000 subscribers and 83.7 million views over 11 videos, with an official artist channel on YouTube Music. Spotify showed about 810,000 monthly listeners on the same date, and its artist page carries no "AI Persona" label. BFMTV described the act as a masked rapper in a rabbit balaclava who appeared on the networks in mid-April and asked whether it exists at all; Les Inrocks, writing on the Skyrock playlisting, called it 100% generated by artificial intelligence. Its releases credit the label "WILLY EST SON PROPRE BOSS", which sources describe as the act's own label rather than a named operator.
