About this song
I Don’t Miss You (I Miss Who I Was) is a single credited to JD Steel, released on 1 January 2026 with 10067505 Records DK, a distributor's numbered placeholder, on its rights line. It is a breakup song with a twist in its title: the narrator realises he does not miss his former partner but the person he was before the relationship wore him down. The description on the act's YouTube channel says it is about mourning the self that was lost trying to be enough for someone else. The Spotify recording runs 3 minutes 43 seconds, and the upload on the act's YouTube channel is the same length. Deezer marks this release as AI-generated content, saying it includes tracks detected as generated with the use of AI.
