About this song
The Devil Sounds Like Me is a single credited to JD Steel, released on 12 February 2026 with 10067505 Records DK, a distributor's numbered placeholder, on its rights line. The act's upload describes it as a dark outlaw country rap track about temptation and inner demons, arguing that the hardest fight is not with a devil outside but with the one that speaks in your own voice. It mixes spoken-word rap with a melodic hook and touches on men's mental health, addiction, faith and survival. The Spotify recording runs 3 minutes 52 seconds. Deezer marks the release as AI-generated content, saying it includes tracks detected as generated with the use of AI.
