呼べば、ひかり

「呼べば、ひかり」 (Yobeba, Hikari; listed on English-language Spotify as "The Echo Turns to Light") is the debut single of 呼魂ひかり (Hikari Kodama), a virtual enka singer generated with AI and launched by Neoこぶし, the "cyber enka" label Nippon Columbia opened on its company anniversary, 1 October 2026. It came out that day together with two versions of "ネオンしぐれ", sung by the enka singer Luca Mochizuki and by the idol group ENKA GIRLS REVOLUTION, and runs just under six minutes. The label says its team used AI across the whole release: in writing and arranging the music, for the singing voice, for the singer's look and for the music video, which sets her in an AI-generated palace and floating city. Words, music and arrangement are credited to Neoこぶし, with the club producer Takano Masadokoro as label producer. Sanspo reported that the label staff see speed and precise direction as the advantages of an AI singer, and the label plans about four releases a month and a joint VR and live concert with Mochizuki in 2027. When read on 2 October 2026 (Singapore time), the official music video on the label's YouTube channel had 2,895 views; Spotify showed no play count yet.
