About this song
"Dear Young Me" is a soul-blues single by Jada Monroe, released on 22 May 2026 on Dead River Records. The description under its official video presents it as a letter to the singer's younger self, the frightened girl who did not expect to get through, told to look back with love instead of shame because she survived everything she feared would break her. Jada Monroe is a soul-blues act on Dead River Records whose Spotify profile presents her as a character, "a woman shaped from memory" who "doesn't perform", written and directed by N. Moseros; Deezer marks the release as AI-generated content. By 2 October 2026 the track had about 231,000 Spotify plays and its official music video on the act's YouTube channel about 233,000 views.
