Synopsis
Love You is a Kannada-language romantic musical drama that opens on a passionate rock singer named Nutan, an ambitious young man whose life is turned by a trip to Manali, where he meets a spirited woman called Ashwini. Their love story is set against his larger dreams, and the film frames the pull between the two as a matter of music, fate and human connection.
The tone is that of a song-led romance: the pages describe a film where technology and human emotion meet, and where the musical numbers carry much of the feeling. The pages give no more of the plot than this, and none of them reveals how the story ends.

Love You is a 95-minute Kannada-language romantic musical drama from 2025, presented by its makers and the press as a feature film made entirely with AI. Moviebuff lists a wide theatrical release in India on 16 May 2025, under a U/A certificate, with S. Narasimhamurthy as director and producer, Nutan as editor and KPM Studios as the production company. Its upload, teaser and song clips are on the YouTube channel Nutan Audio Kannada.
Rova reports a budget of about 10 lakh rupees (roughly 12,000 US dollars), nearly all of it spent on software licences rather than actors, sets or cameras. It says Nutan spent six months testing hundreds of programs and shortlisted about 30 tools, naming Midjourney and Leonardo for images, Minimax and Luma for video, Runway for lip-sync and ElevenLabs for voice. There were no auditions: the 15 characters were set from over 10,000 text-to-image prompts, with text-to-video tools animating them and building landscapes and tracking shots. Rova says its 12 original songs were composed and written by AI, while ASL India says the dialogue came from machine-learning models but that Narasimhamurthy wrote parts of the lyrics and dialogue himself. SStv Media says AI was used in every department, from acting and dialogue to music, cinematography, locations and colouring. Rova adds that the tools struggled with long dialogue and consistent lip-sync, so the makers leaned into the musical format.
Rova describes Narasimhamurthy, 50, as a priest at the Bagalagunte Anjaneya Swamy Temple in Bengaluru who had made experimental indie films before turning to generative AI; ASL India places him in Siddehalli village near Bengaluru. Nutan, 38, is described by rova as an assistant director and editor and a law graduate turned video editor, and by ASL India as a graphic designer turned AI technician. SStv Media also names Sundarraj Gundu Rao for technical guidance, though its wording does not make clear which of them held which role. ASL India reports that Narasimhamurthy was working on two more AI films, on Kempe Gowda and Immadi Pulikeshi.
The film's YouTube upload had 50,454 views when read on 6 October 2026, and the teaser posted on 17 February 2025 had 66,933 views on the same day. SStv Media reported in April 2025 that the film had received a U/A certificate from India's censor board. ASL India says the board noted inconsistent character appearances and imperfect lip-sync but praised the film's innovation and Narasimhamurthy's ambition. Rova says the film opened in Karnataka theatres to strong curiosity, that reviews averaged about 2.5 out of 5, and that critics praised the visuals and dreamlike backdrops while finding the characters emotionally hollow, the pacing broken by abrupt digital transitions and the lip-sync stiff. Moviebuff showed no user or critic ratings.
Rova calls it the first fully AI-generated film reviewed and certified by India's CBFC, and SStv Media and ASL India call it the first Kannada film made with AI. ASL India notes that the title of world's first AI-generated feature technically belongs to Where The Robots Grow (2024). Rova says the film is unlikely to be remembered as a masterpiece but likens it to the Steamboat Willie of AI filmmaking, arguing that the barrier to making a feature has largely collapsed.
