Biography
S. Narasimhamurthy, also written Narasimha Murthy, is a temple priest near Bengaluru who produced and directed Love You, billed as the first Kannada film made entirely with AI. Rova describes him as a 50-year-old hereditary priest at the Bagalagunte Anjaneya Swamy Temple who had made experimental indie films; Eastern Eye places him at the Hanumantharai Temple in Siddehalli, a village near Bengaluru, and says he had no film background.
With his collaborator Nutan (or Nuthan) he spent about six months and around ₹10 lakh, mostly on licences for some 30 AI tools, on the 95-minute romantic musical, and wrote its dialogue and the lyrics of its 12 songs himself. He has acknowledged inconsistent character features, imperfect lip-sync and heavy rendering demands, and told Rova that AI makes a mythological epic easy but contemporary human emotion much harder.
The Central Board of Film Certification gave the film a U/A certificate, which reports in April 2025 called the first for an AI-made film in India. Rova says it reached Karnataka cinemas in May 2025 with reviews around 2.5 out of 5, while Eastern Eye reported he planned a symbolic single-screen release and had conceded that Where the Robots Grow (2024) was already the first AI feature. He has started AI films on Kempe Gowda and Immadi Pulikeshi.
