Synopsis
HYDROCIDE is a science-fiction series set in 2166, after the oceans have vanished. The planet's last drinkable water is held by a power called the Ark, and the first episode follows the war that has grown up around it.
The Ark uses the Titans, giant coral creatures conditioned to roam the cities, to crush whatever stands in its way and to drain the water sources the Resistance still guards. Episode 1 opens with a Titan attack on the ruins of New York and carries the fight across a post-apocalyptic desert world.
Mira is a fighter for the Resistance, and an alien creature stays at her side. The man who runs the Ark is her brother, Kael, so the conflict is a family one as well as a war over water: the description frames Mira as torn between family and her duty, and Kael as torn between love for his sister and a thirst for power.
The tone is a large-scale action spectacle of giant monsters, sword and energy-weapon combat and a desert wasteland, with the sibling rivalry as its emotional core. The page says a second episode is in production.

HYDROCIDE is a generative AI science-fiction series from Paris. Its first episode, titled "HYDROCIDE | AI Sci-Fi Short Film 2026 | Episode 1 - Giant Titans and the War for Water", was uploaded to the TUTO PREMIERE YouTube channel on 22 September 2026. It runs about 23 minutes in English with optional English subtitles, and it is watched free on that upload.
The description says every shot was generated with Seedance 2.5 on Higgsfield, with stills made and retouched in Nano Banana Pro and GPT Image 2, the score made with Suno, upscaling in Topaz Video AI and the edit in Adobe Premiere Pro. It claims the episode took 370 hours of work over four months, was built frame by frame, and was directed like live action, with lens choices, continuity and blocking.
Kevin Mendiboure is credited as director and as co-writer with Vincent Darkman, with production by KMP. Mendiboure's Instagram reels and the TUTO PREMIERE channel, where the episode was posted, carry his AI-video work. Several viewers who commented on the upload write in French that they have followed him for years and thank him for his tutorials, and one says this season is a big step up from his previous one.
The episode was read at 228,668 YouTube views on 6 October 2026. A YouTube Short promoting it, posted on 23 September, had 596 views and 23 likes, and an Instagram reel of 23 September had 1,226 views, both read the same day. Reading the upload's comments on 12 October 2026, viewers mostly praise the visuals, fight scenes and the sibling storyline and ask for episode 2, while a few question plot logic, the heroine's conduct and the lack of eye blinking. No outside press coverage of the series was found.
