About this song
"You Had It, You Lost It" is a funk-soul single released on 30 March 2026 by Dumpster Grooves and credited to Inez Boone, one of the project's invented singers. Its YouTube upload presents it as a remastered 1974 funky soul groove. Dumpster Grooves states that all of its artists, names and backstories are fictional, and that each track is written, arranged and produced by the project and then enhanced with AI to evoke recordings of the period. It is self-released under the project's name.
