About this song
"Work That Thing" is a single credited on Spotify to Dumpster Grooves with its fictional singer Bertha Mae Lightning, self-released on 14 January 2026. Its YouTube upload bills it as raw 1960s Chicago electric blues and presents it as a digitally remastered lost recording. The project's disclaimer says the singer and her backstory are invented: Dumpster Grooves writes, arranges and produces each song, then shapes it with AI tools to sound like an old record. It is the most-played Bertha Mae Lightning release on Spotify.
