About Eddie Dalton
Eddie Dalton is an AI-generated blues and soul singer, presented as an ageing American bluesman in the mould of Otis Redding and Marvin Gaye. His official YouTube channel describes him as "Old School Soul & Blues" and was created on 13 March 2026; his music began appearing on streaming services the same spring. Spotify labels the act "AI Persona".
He is not a real person. Reporting by Showbiz411 on 27 March 2026, relayed by Wide Open Country, Flux and Wikipedia, attributes the project to Dallas Ray Little, a content creator in Greenville, South Carolina, who is also reported to be behind the acts Cain Walker and Cody Crotchburn. Little said he writes all the songs and that every social video is labelled as AI-generated, and rejected the description of his work as a content farm. Sources differ on the name of his label: Flux and the aipopdb record give Crusty Records, Wide Open Country says Crunchy Records, and the album The Years Between carries the Vintage Spin Records name.
The breakout came in early April 2026, when Dalton held eleven places on the iTunes Top 100 singles chart in a single month. The album The Years Between, released on 1 April 2026, climbed to number 3 on the albums chart, and the single Another Day Old, about passing time and growing older, peaked at numbers 2 and 3 on the official UK singles chart. Wide Open Country reported more than 480,000 monthly Spotify listeners, over 1.6 million plays for Another Day Old and nearly 2 million YouTube views for its video at the time.
The music is old-school blues and soul, with the voice, face and videos all AI-made; the pages read do not name the AI tools used for the songs. LADbible wrote that it was unclear whether the listener numbers were partly driven by bots.
By 17 October 2026 Spotify showed 412,175 monthly listeners. His YouTube channel had about 184,000 subscribers, 73 videos and 60.8 million views, and his Instagram account (@eddiedaltonmusic) 80,711 followers. A Threads account of the same name is linked from his Instagram bio.
