About this song
"Tonight About You" is the debut single of Vance Drake, an AI country singer created by Nashville songwriter Chris Gray. It is an upbeat modern country song, released on 18 September 2026 under Gray's own name and running 3 minutes 45 seconds. Gray produced and engineered it and wrote it with Cody Shane Gregg and David Daniel DeVaul; the release materials stress that the words and melody are human-made and only the singing voice is generated. Nashville's NewsChannel 5 covered the project that month as an openly AI act. The rollout on the act's YouTube channel pairs the song with a short documentary about Gray's songwriting career.
