Chris Gray

Chris Gray is a Nashville songwriter who created the AI country singer Vance Drake to perform his songs, and is open about the singer being artificial. On Vance Drake's debut single "Tonight About You" (2026) he is credited as producer, engineer and co-writer, with the lyrics and melodies described as human-written and only the vocals generated. Vance Drake's own video rollout notes that Alabama's lead singer Randy Owen cut and released a song Gray wrote.
