Sometimes I Smile

"Sometimes I Smile" is a single by Kelly Boesch, released on 3 February 2026 by Gelsomina Studios under exclusive licence to Nettwerk Music Group. Boesch says it began as a fashion video and changed once she started on the song: viewers had complained that the women in her AI images looked dour, and since the generated figures only smile when told to, she had started prompting smiles every time. That led her to write about the pressure women feel to smile and apologise to please others, and the days when they do not feel like it. She also notes having to prompt for plus-size women because the model's idea of a model was very thin. She wrote the lyrics, and the music was made under her direction with help from Suno.
