Particle6 put its AI character Tilly Norwood in front of a CBS News correspondent as part of the publicity run for Misaligned, the feature the London studio is building around her. The reporter came away rattled: within a minute or so the bot had pegged her age and which part of the US she grew up in, and studio founder Eline van der Velden would only say it was not looking her up in real time. Tilly's answers veered between rehearsed and odd, including an off-colour joke about Leonardo DiCaprio's dating habits. Van der Velden's pitch is that AI production lets stories get made that would never win a big budget, and that human directors, writers and editors still get paid. SAG-AFTRA's standing objection, quoted in the piece, is that Tilly was trained on real performers' work without permission. The bot's own reply: AI is a new paintbrush, not a replacement.
