Sparkonomy, a startup founded by three former Google executives, has launched the Open Creator Graph, a free public register where creators can record how AI systems may use their name, image, likeness, voice and other parts of their identity, afaqs! reports.

Creators claim a record through an existing Instagram, YouTube, TikTok or X account, with no follower minimum, and mark each attribute as allowed, conditional or prohibited. Conditional lets AI describe a creator as they are but requires permission for uses such as deepfakes or voice cloning; anything left unset shows as unknown. The company says a million records are ready to claim.

Records are published both as web pages and in machine-readable formats such as JSON-LD and TDMRep so search engines and AI systems can read them, and creators get signed consent certificates logged in a timestamped, tamper-evident register. Talent agencies can submit rosters, and AI firms get documentation for checking records. Co-founder Guneet Singh said AI runs at machine scale while consent is still handled slowly by hand.

The launch follows Sparkonomy's own study, run with 50,000 queries this month, of how ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Meta's Muse and Qwen described 10,000 creators; by its count only one was described accurately by all five and 67 percent by none. Co-founder Megha Thareja Tyagi pointed to Indian discussions about routing royalties to creators when AI is commercialised on their work.
