Zander Small, a sketch comedian with over a million Instagram followers, has co-founded FanLock, a service that finds and removes unauthorised AI deepfakes of online creators across more than four million websites.
Small says he built it after fellow creators kept describing stolen, reposted content and takedown services that could not keep pace. Streamer Morgpie has invested; she told him she was spending thousands a month fighting fakes of herself.
FanLock says its watch over Telegram, a known hub for deepfakes, sets it apart from existing DMCA services. Plans start at $49 a month, and new users get a scan showing how many leaks they have.
Tubefilter places it among efforts by YouTube, Instagram and CAA, noting those same platforms keep releasing generative tools.
