Korean talent agency KeyEast said on 13 October 2026 that it has found fake, sexually explicit composites of its artists, made with AI and spread online, and that it has filed a complaint with investigators. The agency described legal proceedings as already under way.

“We will respond strictly, without any leniency or settlements, to confirmed acts that infringe on rights.”

Its statement did not say which artists were targeted. Korean coverage paired the story with Kim Hee-ae, Cha Seung-won and Chae Jung-an, but that pairing reflects how the outlets framed the agency's roster rather than anything KeyEast confirmed. The two outlets also list the roster slightly differently, so the names are best read as context, not as a list of confirmed victims.

KeyEast says it sees the material as serious damage to its artists' character and reputation, not just offensive posts. It plans to keep collecting evidence and to act on deepfakes, defamation, personal attacks and invasion of privacy. It has also stepped up monitoring of domestic and overseas communities and social media, and asked fans to report offending posts or accounts through the agency's channels.

Reports give no suspects, charges or hearing dates, so how far the investigation has gone is unknown. For now the story is a statement of intent from a Korean agency that wants likeness abuse of its actors treated as a criminal matter, with the agency promising to keep pursuing each confirmed case as evidence comes in.
