About this song
Three Chords and the Devil is a single credited to JD Steel, released on 2 February 2026 with 10067505 Records DK, a distributor's numbered placeholder, on its rights line. The act's YouTube upload describes it as a story about the musician's deal: a player who learned three chords on a battered guitar is approached by the devil after a bad night on the road and offered help, trading his soul for talent, and the song warns listeners to walk away from that offer. The Spotify recording runs 4 minutes 13 seconds, matching the act's upload. Deezer marks the release as AI-generated content, saying it includes tracks detected as generated with the use of AI.
