The Real Ones Stayed

The Real Ones Stayed is a JD Steel single released on 28 August 2026, running 5 minutes 7 seconds, with an official music video on the act's YouTube channel. The upload describes it as a thank-you to the people who backed the project before the numbers and the praise arrived, when nobody knew whether the music would go anywhere, and widens it into a song about the friends who stay when the phone goes quiet and you have nothing left to give. It invites listeners to send it to someone who stood by them with nothing to gain. Deezer tags the release as AI-generated content, detected as made with the use of AI. It was self-released by JD Steel Music LLC through DistroKid.
