The Devil Can Keep the Change

The Devil Can Keep the Change is a single by JD Steel, released on 2 August 2026 and running 4 minutes 48 seconds, with an official video on the act's YouTube channel. The description casts it as a survivor's closing receipt: the Devil got away with peace of mind, sleep and years of the narrator's life, but never the soul he was after, and the song tells listeners who paid heavily for their lessons that walking out alive was the better side of the deal. Deezer marks the release with its AI-generated content label, saying it includes tracks detected as made with the use of AI. It came out through a DistroKid imprint rather than a label.
