About this song
"Shift the Thought" is a single by Kelly Boesch, released on 17 July 2026 by Gelsomina Studios under exclusive licence to Nettwerk Music Group. Boesch made it for an animated short built from older AI images she had never animated, and says she wrote lyrics meant to steer the melody towards a beat that matched the movement, around the theme of staying present and changing the direction of your thoughts. She notes that writing the lyrics out in different ways can shape the melody that comes back, and that a Rhodes piano carries the groove. She wrote the lyrics, and the music was made under her direction with help from Suno.
