I'm Not Your Backup Plan

I'm Not Your Backup Plan is a single credited to JD Steel, released on 9 January 2026 with 10067505 Records DK, a distributor's numbered placeholder, on its rights line. The act's channel posts it as an official audio upload and frames it as a refusal to be someone's fallback: a song for people who were passed over for a first choice and will not be taken back once that choice falls through, and who would rather stand alone than settle for second place. The Spotify recording runs 4 minutes 10 seconds, and the upload on the act's channel is the same length. Deezer marks this release as AI-generated content, saying it includes tracks detected as generated with the use of AI.
