Xiangcheng ZENG

Xiangcheng ZENG (written 曾祥程 in Chinese reports) is credited as director of Mystic Tales: The Spider Lady's Vendetta. The pages available give no birthplace, earlier filmography or training, so only his work on this film can be described.

The film (Chinese title 《奇谭:纸刃渡荒墟》) premiered on iQIYI and iQIYI International on 23 July 2026. The release describes it as China's first AIGC feature film released online under an Internet Drama and Film Distribution License, running over 60 minutes. A Chinese report says it was co-produced by Dameng Innovation and iQIYI and made by a team of about twenty. Chinese coverage lists Zeng as director, with Liu Haiyang as AI director and Zhao Shengnan, Yue Siyu and Xiao Yang as writers.

In the press release Zeng says the real value of AIGC lies in helping creators move beyond the limits of traditional film production and bring imagination to life faster and more efficiently. He adds that it does not lower the bar: it demands that creators command a composite skill set spanning art, lighting, performance and technology.
