Biography
David Luisi, born in 1973, is a producer at Spotlight Media Productions, the Zurich company his brother, the director Peter Luisi, founded in 2000. The company says David began his career in digital communication in 1997 and has since produced several feature films, a late-night show and a TV series with Peter, along with many commercials.
He produced The Last Screenwriter (2024) with Peter and was its unit production manager. The brothers signed the film's producers' statement, which says they do not think screenwriters should be replaced by AI, admits the ethical question of making such a film while Hollywood writers were striking over AI, and frames the film as a way to show what the technology can do so people can decide how to respond. After its London premiere was cancelled, the film was released free online on 5 July 2024.
