Suno has taken down a late-August video ad featuring Mary J. Blige, in which the singer appeared to react warmly to an AI track in her style. She had not approved it, and whoever signed the arrangement lacked the authority to do so.
The ad drew heavy abuse aimed at Blige, and its editing leaves unclear what she was actually responding to.
It lands as Suno fights suits from Universal, Sony and a class of artists led by Jason Isbell, despite licences with Warner and BMG.
