San Diego Comic-Con has changed its Art Show rules so that work made wholly or partly with AI can no longer be exhibited or sold there, with the show's coordinator deciding any disputed case.
For the previous two years AI pieces could hang in the show if marked not for sale and labelled as AI, with any prompt naming a particular artist's style disclosed.
The change was made quietly; Cartoon Brew learned of it from a Times of San Diego report and reads it as a return to backing human artists at the long-running gallery show.
