Roland has unveiled Melody Flip, an AI plug-in built with Sony Computer Science Laboratories that suggests new melodies from a track you load in.
It reads the song's tempo, key, chords, structure, genre and mood, then offers ideas in about 300 preset styles, exportable as audio or MIDI.
Roland pitches it as a partner rather than a replacement. It was due in May 2026 via Roland Cloud Manager, price unannounced.
