Hyderabad's police commissioner, VC Sajjanar, has publicly flagged a doctored picture of himself and asked actor Jr NTR to look into how some of the actor's fans are using it. The image showed him seemingly carrying out an arrest and was posted on 9 October 2026 on X, where Sajjanar said it was made with AI and was not a real photograph.
“Just because a photograph looks convincing does not mean it is real. Misinformation spreads faster when people share content without checking the facts.”

The picture first appeared on an X page that claimed an arrest had been made in the Chuttamalle morphed-video case. Sajjanar shared it on his own account, tagged the Hyderabad police, the cyber police and Jr NTR, and described it as a misuse of his image. The page took the post down and apologised in the replies. Some of Jr NTR's followers responded that the people circulating it were not real fans.

His message was a general one: images now look convincing enough that people should stop and question what they see, and verify it before sharing, because posts passed on unchecked spread falsehoods faster than corrections can follow.
The row sits on top of the earlier Chuttamalle case, in which a morphed video built from the Devara song's visuals of Janhvi Kapoor and Jr NTR circulated in early October. Jr NTR has said he would pursue legal action against those who made and spread it, and Kapoor wrote a long note on women's boundaries thanking him and Chiranjeevi for speaking up. At the time of reporting, the actor had not yet replied to the commissioner's post, and his response is still awaited.
