Ted Entertainment, the company behind h3h3 Productions, has joined golf creator Matt Fisher and the channel Golfholics in two more proposed class actions over AI training, filed on April 3 against Apple in California and Amazon in Seattle. Both suits say the companies used YouTubers' videos to build AI products without asking or paying.

The Apple complaint ties the company's AI features on its devices to creators' footage. The Amazon complaint targets Nova Reel, its text-to-video model. Both cite the DMCA and YouTube's terms of service, and they allege that the videos were pulled in ways designed to get around YouTube's limits on bulk downloading. They point to Panda-70M, a dataset Snap released in 2024 that cuts 3.8 million YouTube videos into about 70 million captioned clips.

The same three plaintiffs have already sued Snap over that dataset, as well as Meta, Nvidia and ByteDance. Each case asks for an injunction against further use of creators' videos and for unspecified damages.

Tubefilter traces the fight back to the launch of OpenAI's Sora, when Marques Brownlee showed it producing a set strikingly like his own. The outlet notes that creator suits against big tech have only recently begun to gain ground.
