Synopsis
ODYSSEUS: The Fall is a feature-length retelling of Homer's Odyssey. The press release says it approaches the story "in all its depth and epic glory", and writer-director Ash Koosha has said it keeps to Homer's text.
Where the poem is ambiguous, the film fills the gap with Koosha's own interpretation of Odysseus the man, and Koosha plays the title role himself. Named characters in the release include Eurylochus and Mentor.
The pages give no scene-by-scene plot, so this account stops at the premise and its characters.

ODYSSEUS: The Fall is a feature-length film from Fountain 0, a studio based in London and New York, released on 16 September 2026. It runs 150 minutes (the studio's site lists it at 4K and rated 18+; an earlier announcement gave 135 minutes) and can be rented at watch.fountain0.com, which listed the rental at $4.99 when read on 12 October 2026, with 30 days to start and 72 hours to finish. The studio's release priced it at $9.99.
Fountain 0's press release says every scene and image is AI-generated, and that the studio's engine software runs on top of the Kling video model, which offers native 4K output. Fstoppers reports the imagery was rendered with Kling, that one person made most of it in about three months, and that the budget was in the mid five figures. The press release instead says Koosha worked on it part-time over four months, and that Kling covered the film's token costs. It adds that thirteen real people's likenesses are used as actors, among them Koosha as Odysseus, Pooya Koosha as Eurylochus and Tom Rogers as Mentor; Fstoppers counts twelve.
Ash Koosha wrote, directed and produced the film and, per the release, did all the writing and creative development. He co-founded Fountain 0 with Pooya Koosha, who produced and handled post-production; Tom Rogers is executive chairman and was executive producer. The release says Koosha has a deep history in AI music and that the studio's previous film, Dreams of Violets, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. A soundtrack came out on Spotify the same day as the film, its lead song interpreting the Seikilos Epitaph, an ancient Greek song regarded as the oldest surviving composition with both lyrics and melody.
Fountain 0 announced the film on 14 July 2026 with a trailer, three days before Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey opened on 17 July, and there was no theatrical run. On YouTube, the studio's trailer had about 289,000 views, its teaser about 146,000 and Kling's trailer about 57,000, and the trailer on Kling's TikTok about 161,300, as read on 7 October 2026. Fstoppers describes critics as largely hostile, quoting "Rancid slop" and "AI parasite" and citing stilted dialogue and faces with no inner life. Koosha has said AI "is a threat to nothing except distance, the distance between a person with a story and the means to tell it" and that he hopes Nolan's film succeeds.
On why it matters, the press release bills it as the first completely AI-generated film at big-budget Hollywood level, a claim the release does not back with independent verification, and Rogers says 10,000 films of its quality can now be made at the cost of Nolan's. Fstoppers frames it as a contest between a crewed production on real locations and a film made largely by one person with prompts.
Audience sentiment
Mostly negative: viewers say the trailer is aimless, nobody is seen speaking, costumes change from scene to scene and the shots are too short; a small group finds it good-looking and better than Nolan's version.
