About this song
"THE TIDE" is a gothic doom metal single by VantyX, a virtual artist. The act frames it as a surrender to the abyss, a descent from a surface of lies into the heavy, industrial weight of dark water, opening on the line "They think I'm swimming... but I'm just becoming the tide." Its official video went up on YouTube on 15 May 2026 and the single was released on Spotify on 1 June 2026 under 12711380 Records DK. VantyX calls itself a virtual artist project that uses AI-assisted music and visual tools, while the lyrics, concept and direction are its own. By early October 2026 the video had about 56,000 views and the track about 6,000 Spotify plays.
