The strong don't get a break

"The strong don't get a break" is a single credited to Xania Monet, the AI-created R&B vocalist presented as a virtual artist. It was released on 27 July 2025 and runs just under four minutes, and Apple Music files it as blues. Xania Monet is the project of Mississippi poet Telisha Nikki Jones, who writes the lyrics and uses the AI music generator Suno to turn them into finished recordings. The act drew wide attention in 2025 after reaching several Billboard charts and signing a multi-million-dollar deal with Hallwood Media following a bidding war; the single itself is released under the act's own name as a self-release. A lyric video on Xania Monet's YouTube channel, uploaded 27 August 2025, had about 5.63 million views when read on 7 October 2026, and the track had about 7.43 million Spotify plays when read that day.
