About this song
The Adult I Dreamed Of (꿈꾸던 어른이 되었나요?) is a modern-rock single by the Korean act MEOMURU, released on 23 June 2026 and running 3 minutes 27 seconds. MEOMURU says the lyrics, composition and arrangement are their own and that the vocal was generated with the AI music service Suno, and the song's Deezer release is marked as AI-generated content. It sets the adult the narrator once imagined against a present of shaky days and long sighs, a theme Korean coverage links to young adults' worries about jobs and the future. The single climbed slowly after release: it entered YouTube Korea's weekly popular songs chart at 65 in mid-August, reached 30 by late August, and on 2 September 2026 topped YouTube's daily popular music video chart, which The Fact reported as the first time a song made with AI had reached number one on a major Korean chart. The release came out through 글로리웨이브 사운드 under licence to Vlending Corporation, and by 30 September 2026 the Spotify track showed 815,544 plays.
