She Said Don’t Be Gentle

She Said Don't Be Gentle is a JD Steel single released on 3 September 2026, running 3 minutes 57 seconds. The official visualiser on the act's YouTube channel describes it as a sultry country-soul song about a woman who knows exactly what she wants, and a man with the sense to follow her lead; the upload sums it up by saying she brought the matches and all he had to do was listen. It is a change of pace from the act's usual devil-and-redemption themes. Deezer tags the release as AI-generated content, detected as made with the use of AI. The single was self-released by JD Steel Music LLC and delivered through DistroKid.
