Keep Your Light On

Keep Your Light On is a dark country single by JD Steel, released on 9 September 2026 and running 3 minutes 49 seconds, and issued with an official music video on the act's YouTube channel. The upload frames it as encouragement for someone on a hard night, with the line that the dark cannot take what you do not hand it, and lists the US 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline for anyone who needs it. Deezer marks the release as AI-generated content, detected as made with the use of AI. JD Steel is a persona directed by its creator JD, whose own recorded voice is the basis of the act's singing while AI provides the studio and band. It was one of three JD Steel singles released that day, self-released by JD Steel Music LLC through DistroKid.
