I Don’t Want You Back, I Want You Sorry

I Don't Want You Back, I Want You Sorry is a JD Steel single released on 2 September 2026, running 3 minutes 16 seconds. The act's YouTube visualiser presents it as a hard-edged country-rock breakup song for the point where you stop missing someone and start hoping they finally grasp what they threw away. The narrator says he wants neither revenge nor to see the other person ruined, only for the truth to catch up with them and leave them holding the weight they walked away from. Deezer labels the release AI-generated content, saying it includes tracks detected as generated with the use of AI. It came out as a self-release from JD Steel Music LLC through DistroKid, one of three JD Steel singles issued that day.
