About this song
"Beautiful Disobedient" is a song by Kelly Boesch that personifies anxiety, describing how it lives inside a person and causes havoc while they learn to live with it. Boesch first posted it on her own channel in October 2025 as "Beautiful, Disobedient", with a video whose stark images she says she made by accident while trying to picture anxiety; she liked the contrast between those animations and the warm sound of the song. In the description she connects it to her own anxiety about the news and social media at the time. The images were made in Midjourney, the animation in Pika and the song with Suno. It was released on her album Fairytale on 10 April 2026 by Gelsomina Studios under exclusive licence to Nettwerk Music Group.
