Biography
Vishal Yoman, born Vishal Yadav, is an Indian film director and writer based in Mumbai who specialises in music videos. He began as an assistant director under filmmaker Vikram Singh, working on projects including Ja Ja Ja (2015) and the 2018 hit Tera Ghata, and made his directorial debut in 2020 with a romantic-comedy music video for Ishaan Khan, Teri Behen Se Shaadi, co-directed with Ayushi Anand.
He co-founded Kalpanik Films with Ayushi Anand, a production company and creative agency listed as founded in 2013 and headquartered in Mirzapur. Beyond directing he served as publicity designer on the 2020 film Kaagaz, directed by Satish Kaushik, and has acted in the music video Tabaahi. His music-video work has been for labels including T-Series, Zee Music Company and B-Live Music, and he describes his style as having a distinct Disney quality, drawn from fables.
In 2026 he and Anand led Kalpanik Films' AI series DEVI: The Nine Astras, an action-mythology story about the nine manifestations of Goddess Durga, released as a 30-minute web show of nine three-minute episodes on YouTube. Indian Television reports the team used NotebookLM for scripting, Google Vids and Veo for visuals and Flow Music for the title track, while casting actress Nyra Banerjee as the face of the Goddess. Explaining the idea, Yoman said India is a land of stories, many of them yet to be told.
