Biography

Omer Fedi, born 25 March 2000, is an Israeli record producer, songwriter and musician from Tel Aviv who moved to Los Angeles at sixteen. His father, Asher Fedi, is a drummer who introduced him to percussion; he took up guitar at ten. He attended Calabasas High School, joined its jazz ensemble and won the Outstanding Performer award at the 2018 Reno Jazz Festival.

He began songwriting in 2019 after Sam Hook approached him, writing for Ella Mai and Yungblud. Meeting 24kGoldn at a party led to a partnership within a week, and their "Mood" (2020) stayed on the charts for 33 weeks.

He has co-written or produced four Billboard Hot 100 number ones: "Mood", Lil Nas X's "Montero (Call Me by Your Name)", Sam Smith and Kim Petras's "Unholy" and The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber's "Stay". He co-produced Machine Gun Kelly's Tickets to My Downfall (2020), contributed to SZA's SOS (2022), and in 2024 worked on Rosé and Bruno Mars's "APT." and with Charli XCX.

He won a Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for "Unholy" (2023), iHeartRadio Songwriter of the Year (2022) and BMI Song of the Year for "Mood" and "Stay". XXL named him among hip-hop's best producers in 2020.
