Biography

Louis Muk is credited as director and co-writer, with Jojo Goh, of Michiru. Wikipedia describes him as a member of ARx Media Sdn. Bhd. (汸舟未来科技有限公司), the Kuching, Sarawak company behind the Isekai Zero app. The pages read give no birthplace, age, nationality, education or earlier works for him.

Wikipedia says that in 2022, as AI technology spread worldwide, Muk initiated the development of Isekai Zero (異世界ゼロ), an AI role-playing app. The app reached Google Play on 23 August 2025 and the App Store that September. In 2025 the team commissioned Sarawak artist Mïïn to design Michiru, the app's mascot. ARx Media's site presents the company as a technology firm working in AI, AR and VR.

Michiru is a 30-minute animated short made with AI tools by Isekai Zero, a brand of ARx Media Sdn. Bhd., a company based in Kuching, Sarawak. It premiered at Golden Screen Cinemas in The Spring Shopping Mall, Kuching, on 12 September 2026 and reached YouTube on 16 September 2026. Wikipedia calls it Malaysia's first AI animated short film. The film was produced from about March 2026 over roughly six months, on a low budget, with Nano Banana, ChatGPT, Seedance, Claude and Suno among the AI tools. The crew photographed real Kuching locations and used them as references, re-prompting shot by shot. Some netizens and animators questioned the use of AI and the film's resemblance to Japanese anime, and the Kuching South mayor said the council backed young creators, not AI itself.

The soundtrack's three tracks, "Transparent", "Warm Light" and "The Light You Left On", are credited on Wikipedia to kheelstrife (Louis Muk), so he is also the composer under that name. The Wikipedia infobox, though, lists Johnny Koo for the music, so the two credits are not reconciled in the pages read. No awards are stated.
