Michiru is a 30-minute animated short made with AI tools by Isekai Zero, a brand of ARx Media Sdn. Bhd., a company based in Kuching, Sarawak. It premiered at Golden Screen Cinemas in The Spring Shopping Mall, Kuching, on 12 September 2026 and reached YouTube on 16 September 2026. Wikipedia calls it Malaysia's first AI animated short film. Its mascot character Michiru belongs to the Isekai Zero AI roleplay and story app, and the story follows a secondary school girl in Sarawak who writes romantic fantasy and forms a friendship with a transfer student.
The production notes say the whole process from planning and scriptwriting to animation took about six months. Isekai Zero's chief community officer said artists built the storyline and photographed Kuching locations, then kept re-prompting AI tools until the scenes matched. No interview, profile or social page for Goh turned up.
