Biography
Egor Kharlamov is a Russian actor and director. His Instagram profile describes him as an actor and lists an agent, and his YouTube channel, registered in Russia, presents itself as a creative channel for his own work.
His short One Way, which credits him as director and Filipp Ershov with the idea, took second place at the first Reply AI Film Festival, whose winners were announced in Venice on 4 September 2024; first place went to Gisele Tong's To Dear Me. Jurors looked at more than 1,000 shorts from over 59 countries. Reply describes One Way as a story about a second chance that comes when someone seems to have nothing left to lose, and about the price of that chance.
Generated Films lists One Way as a 2024 drama made with a range of AI tools, without naming them. Commenting on the award, Kharlamov said technology was moving forward and welcomed the chance filmmakers now have to use artificial intelligence as a tool. He posted the film on his YouTube channel on 6 September 2024.
