Suno has hired Michael Chua away from Ticketmaster to lead a new live-music arm, Suno Live Experiences. Announced on 8 October 2026, the job carries the title of vice president and general manager, and it puts him in charge of live operations that include Songkick. He will work from Suno's New York office.

“We're building the first creative entertainment platform, and live music is a pivotal part of that”

Paul Sinclair, Chief Music Officer, Suno, to Music Week · musicweek.com ↗

Chua spent about eleven years at Ticketmaster, most recently as vice president of global business development and strategic partnerships. There he built the tie-ups that let fans find events and buy tickets from inside Google, YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok and Snap, rather than only on Ticketmaster's own site or app. Before that he was a business development director at Live Nation, and he advised Songkick briefly back in 2013. His own profile also mentions work on agentic ticketing with OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Meta, and Variety put him on its 2024 list of ten AAPI music executives.

Suno says the new team will connect Songkick's discovery tools with its own platform and sharpen concert recommendations so that fans end up at more shows. Chief Music Officer Paul Sinclair, to whom the role reports, named helping emerging artists as a central aim, with those in Suno's Spark incubator singled out. Chua framed the move as taking a song from first idea to the stage with fans along for the whole route.

The pieces were already in place. Suno bought Songkick from Warner Music Group in November 2025 as part of the settlement of WMG's lawsuit. It advertised a Songkick general manager post in late April, and on 30 April told Songkick users that Suno would become the controller of their data. Spark, a programme for unsigned artists offering grants, marketing money and writing-camp invitations, launched on 25 June.

Digital Music News read the hire against a mixed run for Suno's recent recruits and initiatives, with lawsuits and criticism continuing and no settlement with Universal or Sony. Those two labels filed a second suit on 18 September over 60,202 recordings. Suno raised more than $400 million in June at a $5.4 billion valuation. The reports name no dates for the live division's plans, and the team is still being assembled.
