UK producer Spirit Studios has started 10 Minute History, its first channel made with AI in the workflow, Televisual reported on 17 April. It is part of a push to grow both the channels the studio owns and those it runs for others. Episodes run ten minutes in one-minute chapters with cliffhangers, so each part can also go out as a clip on YouTube and social apps.
The studio says people stay in charge: a producer, editor, channel manager and human narrator shape each story, while AI helps with script structure, visuals and music. Creative director Matt Campion calls the tools a way to scale output, not to replace staff, and the studio says AI's job is to speed up production and give a consistent, cinematic look so the team can concentrate on story and pacing.
Longer 30- and 60-minute specials are planned, along with spin-off brands such as 10 Minute Politics and 10 Minute News.
