SpiralAI, which makes the licensed chat game RyzaChat:AI, will restrict what players can type from October, after some tried to coax its version of Atelier Ryza heroine Ryza into offensive remarks. The Koei Tecmo-licensed app lets fans roam her world and chat with her without a fixed script. SpiralAI said it takes fans' worries seriously and will not tolerate attempts to degrade the character.
Ryza already declined off-world topics, a game-master AI rephrased player prompts, bad replies were stopped before display and offensive exchanges were kept out of her memory. Some players still tried prompt injection, and fake screenshots of the app spread; SpiralAI is filing takedowns.
The limits come with an October model update, and input length may be tuned later. A Sophie spin-off is in development.
