Infinite Loop Media (ILM) has produced Siluman: Dendam Harimau Jadian, a weretiger feature directed by Fazli Yasin that was made with AI throughout. The studio is seeking a Malaysia Book of Records entry as the first fully AI-made feature intended for Malaysian cinemas.
ILM says the film went from concept to screening in under a year, which it presents as proof of its own AI production system; the report notes that this kind of process can otherwise take years. The weretiger story at the film's centre doubles as a test bed for that system. The tools handled visual development, keeping characters and settings consistent from scene to scene, and post-production, while a human team reviewed every creative decision and signed off on the final cut.
The studio stresses that the project is not meant to show that directors, actors or crews are no longer needed. It calls it a test of a new way of working, and Fazli argues AI still needs human judgement to keep a story's message clear for audiences. ILM hopes what it learned will feed a wider conversation about technology and creativity in Malaysia's film industry, without discarding the skills and practices the industry already has.
