JioStar has appointed Stephan Bugaj as senior vice president of generative AI content and technology, as the Indian media group pushes into AI-native entertainment.
At Genvid he helped create a live interactive format blending streaming, games and audience input, and built AI tools for filmmakers. Across three decades he has also worked at Pixar, Telltale Games, DJ2 Entertainment and Hanson Robotics, and won a 2024 Emmy for innovation in emerging media. JioStar describes his focus as systems for AI-driven content and adaptive narratives.
JioStar says he will develop AI-driven content pipelines and interactive story formats, adding to AI features it already runs such as conversational interfaces, second-screen layers and AI-assisted workflows.
