Castle Walls, titled Surlar in Turkish, premiered on Amazon Prime Video on 12 August 2026. It is billed as the first fully AI-made series on a major global streamer, a claim that comes from the producers. It was made by AI Yapım, the AI arm of Ay Yapım, a three-time International Emmy winner.

Outlets differ on the size of the release: two reports describe two 15-minute episodes dropped the same day, while Let's Data Science says three. That outlet also notes that a German Prime Video calendar lists 18 August, so availability may vary by market. The script is by Kerem Deren and Çisil Hazal Tenim, and the story is set around Iran's Alamut Castle, the fortress that features in Assassin's Creed Mirage.

The picture comes from AYDNA, an in-house diffusion model trained only on Ay Yapım's licensed catalogue, alongside AI tools for prompt enhancement and a proprietary storyboard system. The producer also lists commercial tools including ChatGPT, Midjourney, Runway, Nano Banana, Veo, Kling, ComfyUI and Topaz, with ElevenLabs for voice. AI Yapım is Ay Yapım's Singapore-based subsidiary and leads WAIFF Turkey.

The studio insists the human team made every creative decision, that the acting is not AI-generated, and that dubbing in every language is done by human voice artists. Hand-drawn sketches of characters and locations came before any AI work and are in the press kit. AI Yapım is also a capability-building partner for the International Emmy education programme. The two episodes show about two years of AI progress: the first was built shot by shot with older inpainting methods, the second with newer generative tools.

Earlier this year Amazon MGM Studios announced three AI-powered animated series for Prime Video. No budget or audience figures have been disclosed, and the project reportedly took about a year, and the technical descriptions are the producers' own, not an independent evaluation.
